Magic Bullet Looks (MBL) shows "unlicensed"

The error

The plugin overlay shows a license warning ("unlicensed") even though it’s installed and was previously activated.

Why this happens

The Windows registry keys holding the plugin’s license activation didn’t get written, or were reset — common after an OS update or a partial reinstall.

How to fix it

  1. Re-run the plugin’s "Add Keys.reg" file as Administrator to rewrite the license registry keys.
  2. Fully restart After Effects (not just close the project) after running the .reg file.
  3. If the warning persists, uninstall and reinstall the plugin so its installer re-registers the keys from scratch.
